About a third of the way through this novel - 2020 Booker Prize winner. Glad it is being read to me, as I would not be able to do justice to the Glaswegian vernacular. A few people I know have read and enjoyed this book, so I'm giving it a try as part of my 'Booker Prize Winners Reading Experiment' (of which more later).

Finished now. Highly recommended. Very gritty and uncompromising in its depiction of the alcoholic mother, and the conditions Shuggie and his siblings are living under. There are tender moments too. Love can flourish in unlikely circumstances.
